Rhonda Johanson is a children’s author, retired music teacher, and lifelong storyteller who enjoys creating imaginative adventures for young readers. During her thirty-five years of teaching music, she wrote numerous scripts and plays for fourth through sixth grade students, inspiring children to discover the joy of storytelling through music, acting, and creativity. Her lifelong passion for inspiring young imaginations continues to shape every book she writes.
Her middle-grade fantasy novel, A Toad’s Tale: An Unlikely Fairy-Tale Hero, began with a simple request from her grandson, Boston, who asked her to write him a fairy tale. That request grew into a humorous adventure filled with talking animals, courage, kindness, and the reminder that everyone has the ability to make a difference. Rhonda believes stories should encourage children to laugh, imagine, and believe in themselves while discovering the positive difference they can make. She lives in Nebraska with her husband and continues to write, with another book in the A Toad’s Tale series currently in progress.
